BCHS Class of 1955
ABOUT US
It all began with a single idea . . .

In the spring of 2000, I joined Bill Myers in his search for missing classmates.  Through our many exchanges of concepts and techniques to be used in the formulation of a comprehensive database, I proposed that we create a website.  Bill wasn't receptive to the idea, feeling that the time required for maintenance of a site would exceed its usefulness.  We had several more exchanges, and I finally persuaded him to give it a whirl.  Then, Bill began experimenting with sitebuilding, and he, too, became enthusiastic about the project.  Ergo, the existence of the site you are now visiting.

By way of introduction of our website, we sent a mass emailing to those known to subscribe to an online service.  The response was gratifying.

In the past four years, this medium of exchange has been instrumental in rekindling old friendships and the discovery of new friendships.  It has also assisted us in paring down the "lost" list from well over 100 to only 7 people.  In other words, the results of our work have been rewarding, insightful, and inspiring.  And, since its commencement, over 6000 people have visited our website!

We have now divided our responsibilities for page maintenance.  Bill is in charge of database information and updates, as well as the Memorial page.  This is no easy task, and we are fortunate to have access to Bill's diligence and dedication on our behalf.  I, on the other hand, concentrate on the "fun" stuff:  announcements, news, photos, etc.  And, we both keep the Reunion Committee informed of your ideas, comments, and suggestions received via email, message board and feedback form.  Our guest book is also a source of commentary and encouragement.  If you haven't already done so, we invite you to sign today - then, read the entries written by your classmates.

Bill and I plan to maintain our website for as long as our classmates show an interest.  We will definitely add pages regarding the 50th Reunion - both before and after the event.  Please check back often for updates, and be on hand for the reunion, so that we may add your photo to our ever growing album!

Thanks to all of our classmates for the encouragement and contributions you have made.  We hope to hear from you often, so that our website will remain alive and well!
